Description
Hilary Tatibana, known as Hiromi Tachibana in the original Japanese version, is a central figure in the Beyblade: G-Revolution series, having first been introduced in the preceding season, Beyblade: V-Force. She is a student and the class president at the same school attended by protagonist Tyson Granger and his friend Kenny. Her role within the team evolves significantly as she becomes intrinsically linked to the world of Beyblading, not as a competing blader, but as the manager, coach, and steadying force for the group known as the G-Revolutions.

In terms of personality, Hilary is initially presented as a strong-willed, outspoken, and somewhat bossy individual who takes her duties as class president very seriously. She is not afraid to voice her opinions or argue, particularly with Tyson, whose lackadaisical attitude toward school and punctuality often clashes with her responsible nature. This tough exterior, however, masks a deeply kind, caring, and fiercely loyal person. As the story progresses into G-Revolution, she shows significant development, calming down and acting with greater maturity and responsibility. At the same time, she also reveals more of her feminine side and, on occasion, a heightened, often comedic, level of frustration that can manifest as physical violence, usually directed at the more rambunctious members of her team.

Hilary's motivations are rooted in her dedication to her friends, especially Tyson. At the beginning of her journey, she dismissed Beyblading as a silly game. However, after witnessing the passion and spirit behind the sport, she becomes determined to understand it and support the Bladebreakers. Her primary motivation is to see her team succeed, and she devotes herself to their well-being and training. A running and often humorous thread throughout G-Revolution is her persistent yet ill-fated attempts to cook for the team, which is consistently shown to be terrible, leading to a notable moment when Tyson has a nightmare about her cooking.

Within the narrative of G-Revolution, Hilary serves as the manager and voice of reason for the G-Revolutions. When the original Bladebreakers disband and members like Kai, Ray, and Max pursue their own paths, Hilary remains alongside Kenny as one of the few constants at Tyson's side. She organizes training, offers strategic advice, and frequently acts as a mediator to keep the team focused. Her role is crucial as a grounding presence, often being the one to point out the flaws in a plan or to provide the emotional support needed to push forward. She is not a blader herself and has no Bit-Beast, which highlights her unique contribution; her value comes from her intelligence, leadership, and emotional intelligence rather than battling prowess.

Her key relationships define much of her role in the series. The most prominent is her dynamic with Tyson Granger. Their relationship is a classic love-hate friendship characterized by constant bickering and arguments, yet underneath it all lies a deep and mutual care. She is one of the few people who can truly keep Tyson in line, and he is often the target of her frustration. For her part, she shows great concern for his well-being, both in and out of battles, and it is strongly implied throughout the series that she harbors a small crush on him. With Daichi Sumeragi, a new and wild member of the team, Hilary takes on a caretaker role, though Daichi frequently tests her patience by calling her "Grandma," a nickname that never fails to annoy her. In contrast, her friendship with Kenny is much calmer and more intellectual; as the two primary non-bladers on the team, they share common ground and often work together to solve problems from a strategic standpoint.

Hilary's development across the series is marked by her growing acceptance and understanding of the beyblading world. She transitions from an outsider who could not even see Bit-Beasts to a perceptive supporter who was the first to spot the invisible Bit-Beasts of the Saint Shields. Her most notable attempt to become a blader herself occurs during G-Revolution when she impulsively steals the Beyblade "Hopper" and tries to launch it. The attempt fails spectacularly, as the blade hops uncontrollably around the bus, causing chaos and proving that her talents lie elsewhere. Her true abilities are her sharp intellect, her knack for training routines such as suggesting the team return to basics to master the Magnacore System, and her unwavering loyalty. She is the team's organizer and its heart, ensuring that despite the chaos and departure of its members, the G-Revolutions remain a cohesive and functional unit.
