Description
Souci Elnea Ortrinde, called Sue, is the daughter of Duke Alfred Ernes Ortlinde and Duchess Ellen Ernea Ortlinde in the Kingdom of Belfast. She serves as the younger sister to Edward Ernes Ortlinde and cousin to Princess Yumina Ernea Belfast, viewing Yumina as an older sister due to their closeness. Her family holds high nobility status, with her uncle being King Tristwin Ernes Belfast.

Souci possesses green eyes and long blonde hair reaching her waist, featuring a distinctive curling strand resembling an ahoge. Her typical attire consists of a pink dress with red ribbons, matching gloves, black stockings, a black necklace or choker bearing Uranus's astronomical symbol, and dark red shoes. For travel, she often wears a puffy pink hat with a red visor. Formal occasions prompt a switch to a classic pink princess-style dress with a tiara, omitting gloves.

Personality-wise, Souci exhibits a childish, energetic demeanor as the youngest in her peer group. She displays spoiled tendencies and demanding behavior, occasionally engaging in petty revenge. Yet she maintains a fundamentally pure, innocent outlook, often unaware of negative consequences from irresponsible decisions. Her naivety includes limited understanding of mature topics, partly due to her mother's prior blindness restricting conventional education. This innocence later causes embarrassment during relationship discussions. Souci harbors a pronounced fondness for sweets, especially roll cakes introduced by Touya, frequently disregarding her mother's attempts to moderate her consumption.

Her initial encounter with Touya occurs when his party thwarts her kidnapping, orchestrated by Count Balsa. During this event, Touya also saves her family butler, Leim, solidifying her admiration. Their connection deepens when Touya cures her mother's chronic blindness—a condition Souci couldn't address despite sharing her grandfather's light magic affinity, lacking the complementary null magic required for healing. This act elevates Touya's standing in Belfast.

Magically, Souci possesses an aptitude for light-based spells. She trains under Leen to specialize in healing magic and develops combat skills through instruction from Cecile and Lapis. She later pilots Ortlinde, a fortified defense-type Frame Gear sharing her family name. As her relationship with Touya progresses, she receives a sacred platinum-gold wedding ring from the World God, acting as a conduit for Touya's divine power.

A pivotal development arises when Souci faces a politically motivated betrothal to Prince Zabune (or Zarun) of Lihnea, later exposed as fraudulent and predatory. To protect her, Touya formally engages with her, making her his sixth fiancée. This leads to her integration into the Brunhild Dukedom as its Fourth Queen. Her character matures through subsequent training and responsibilities, culminating in motherhood with her daughter, Stephania Mochizuki.

Notable details include her use of the archaic first-person pronoun "warawa" and the naming of her daughter after Renne's mother. Her choker's Uranus symbol aligns with the astronomical theme among Touya's spouses.
