Description
Keigo Tohsaka is a character from the anime Gunparade March, born on September 19, 1984. Standing at 184 centimeters tall and weighing 77 kilograms, he comes from a wealthy family that recently gained its fortune through trade, which afforded them political connections. Despite this privileged background that could have exempted him from conscription, Tohsaka chose to enlist voluntarily, largely due to his disdain for his family and his father in particular.

Tohsaka is portrayed as someone who is, in a positive sense, a good person, but in a more critical light, he is seen as immature. His motivations are deeply personal and tied to his family, especially his sister, who suffers from a chemical hypersensitivity that prevents her from leaving the house. In a misguided attempt to improve her condition, Tohsaka became involved with a phantom beast symbiote, holding a vague delusion that if Japan were to be occupied by phantom beasts, his sister might fare better. This decision reflects his lack of preparation for the severe consequences of such actions, including torture or execution by military police; his survival and continued freedom are attributed solely to his family's ongoing political usefulness.

Within the story, Tohsaka serves as a member of Platoon 5121. His personal history leads him to a significant role when he participates in a terrorist act in a park. Subsequently, he is blackmailed by the Shibamura family, particularly the elder Iwata, and becomes a soxhunter under the code name Sachs Tiger. Within the platoon, he tries to present himself as an ordinary person, disliking his wealthy background, but he is known to be poor at lying, and most of his comrades are aware of his true circumstances.

In terms of his relationships and practical abilities, Tohsaka does not play a central role in the platoon's core functions. He primarily carries gold bars and is automatically able to obtain them with a certain probability each morning. His inherent skills include attunement, housekeeping, and maintenance, but he offers little strategic value in training or combat operations. It is presumed that he later becomes acquainted with his fellow platoon member Maki Tanabe, though the details of this relationship remain unspecified. Over the course of the narrative, the consequences of his phantom symbiote incident lead to significant changes, such as the Shibamura family recovering their influence from the Iwata family.
