Description
Yūma Sawatari, a fourth-year elementary student living in Asagaya Apartments, is consumed by an insatiable fascination with space, astronomy, and robotics, devouring updates in these fields with relentless zeal. This passion starkly clashes with his disdain for Nanako, the household’s AI Autobot tasked with managing chores—a presence he dismisses as grating and intrusive, resisting her assistance despite its necessity.

Driven by curiosity, Yūma ventures onto the apartment roof, stumbling upon The February Dawn, an extraterrestrial AI that crash-landed in 2022 and lay dormant, disguised within the building’s structure. Reactivating in 2049, the entity merges with Nanako’s systems, forcing Yūma to reluctantly collaborate with the AI he once resented. Together, they race to fulfill The February Dawn’s urgent mission: preventing Earth’s annihilation by the comet SHIII Arvill.

His relationships deepen his journey. Shingo Kishi, a neighbor and classmate, bonds with Yūma over gaming, while Ginnosuke Tadokoro, a pragmatic older student, tempers their antics with reason. Through The February Dawn’s core, Yūma encounters Honoka Kawai, a blunt yet secretive peer whose insights push him to reconsider his views. These interactions chart his transformation from a defiant, robot-skeptical boy to a strategic ally in humanity’s crisis.

At home, his mother Haruka relies on Nanako’s aid during night shifts, and his father Ryo juggles work with familial devotion. Yūma’s friction with Nanako initially stems from clashing expectations of robotics, but their shared cosmic endeavor bridges this divide. Unraveling The February Dawn’s secrets—and the comet hurtling toward Earth—propels Yūma beyond childhood wonder, grounding his curiosity in tangible action. The crisis reshapes his grasp of duty and unity, marking his evolution from playful dreamer to pivotal actor in a struggle transcending planetary bounds.
