TV-Series
Description
Mahiru Hyuga is a prominent character from the Hyuga family, one of the two primary clans in the narrative alongside the Kuga family. She is a Seki, an individual with the ability to control a kakashi, which are ancient, god-like wooden dolls that serve as the series' central focus. Her designated kakashi is named Magatsuhi.

Physically, Mahiru is depicted as a teenage girl with long, curly green hair and brown eyes. She is often seen wearing a school uniform, reflecting her age and status as a student.

Mahiru possesses a complex and formidable personality, marked by arrogance and a profound sense of entitlement. She is described as imperious, self-willed, and unrestrained in her behavior, believing she is entitled to anything she desires regardless of the consequences for others. This extends to her relationships, where she considers most other Seki to be inferior to her, with a singular, notable exception. Her arrogance leads her to act on impulse, and she can fly into a destructive rage when her wishes are thwarted, showing little regard for the rules or social structures of her own village.

Her primary driving motivation is an obsessive infatuation with Kyohei Kuga, a former Seki from the rival Kuga family. This obsession originates from a traumatic childhood event. While exploring a mine as a young, newly appointed Seki, Mahiru, along with Kyohei and another boy named Aki, accidentally awakened an autonomous and berserk kakashi. In the ensuing life-threatening struggle, Mahiru's own attempts to fight back were futile and counterproductive. It was Kyohei who ultimately saved her life by unleashing the true, immense power of his own kakashi, Kukuri. From that moment, she developed an obsessive reverence for him, viewing him as nearly divine and believing that he alone is worthy of her. Her actions are largely driven by a desire to be with him, a goal she pursues with a possessive and unhinged determination.

In the story, Mahiru serves as a major antagonist and a formidable obstacle for the main characters. She appears in Tokyo, pursuing Kyohei, and quickly demonstrates her power and lack of restraint. Her role is defined by her attempts to eliminate anyone she perceives as a rival for Kyohei's affection, most notably Hibino Shiba, a classmate who becomes Kyohei's girlfriend. In a key plot development, Mahiru kidnaps Hibino in a jealous rage after learning of their relationship. This act sets the stage for a significant confrontation where her powers and psychological instability are put on full display.

Her key relationships are central to her character. Her connection to Kyohei is an obsessive fixation that she interprets as love and destiny. This stands in stark contrast to her relationship with her own family, including her cousin Kōshirō Hyūga, whom she easily disregards in favor of her own goals. She is also manipulated by those who wish to exploit her power, such as the politician Takeshi Hirashiro, who seeks to use disgruntled Seki like her to overthrow the village's traditional leadership.

Regarding development, information is unavailable to describe any significant change or growth in her character throughout the series. Her defining trait remains her obsessive and arrogant nature, which drives the conflict she instigates.

As a Seki, Mahiru is acknowledged as the most powerful member of the Hyuga family, possessing exceptional skill in controlling her kakashi, Magatsuhi. Her doll's primary special ability is to halt the movements of other kakashi, effectively neutralizing her opponents and demonstrating her superior control and the unique power of her god doll. Her combat prowess is such that she is able to single-handedly fight multiple other Seki simultaneously. However, this power has limits; during a battle where Magatsuhi is severely damaged by Kukuri, Mahiru loses control of her own doll. In this berserk state, Magatsuhi begins using unknown and unpredictable powers before being destroyed, highlighting both the immense potential and the inherent dangers of the kakashi.
