Description
Suezō Hokari founded and chairs the Bottleman Management Association (BMA), dedicated to managing Bottleman development, driven by his deep love for bottle caps. He is the father of Io Hocari and Machiko Hocari, and grandfather of Ryo Hocari. His appearance features grey side hair, a mustache, a goatee, and a mostly bald head with yellow eyes. He typically wears a brownish-yellow suit with a black tint, a black undershirt, and brown shoes, occasionally sporting pink bunny slippers at home; notably muscular biceps are concealed beneath his suit. He holds 34% of BMA's stocks.
Suezō exhibits an unpredictable and eccentric personality, displaying an extreme obsession with bottle caps that leads him to swim in piles of them. This obsession frequently causes him to prioritize his hobby over business and family responsibilities, creating unintended problems. Despite his eccentricity, he can adopt a serious and strict demeanor when necessary. A recurring flaw is his habit of taking credit for others' achievements. After resolving a conflict involving an AI, he publicly apologizes for commotions caused by factions but simultaneously boasts about single-handedly saving everyone from the AI threat. Later, he again attempts to claim sole credit for humanity's salvation from the AI, only to be berated by others.
His actions significantly impact his family. Prioritizing bottle caps contributes to strained relationships, particularly with his children. He is indirectly involved in the fallout between Io and Machiko over the Vital Sync project, though he does not mediate their conflicts. During a crisis at an abandoned facility, he tasks Ryo and Cota with defeating the AI, initially believing them lost in an explosion before relief sets in upon their survival.
