Description
Aguma is a central character who appears as a legendary Blader in the Beyblade: Metal Fury series, representing the planet Saturn. His lineage is deeply connected to the ancient Solar System Bladers, as one of his ancestors was part of that original group. However, down his family line, an ancestor joined a splinter group known as the Beylin Fist. This faction broke away from the main school at the Beylin Temple after a failed secession and was subsequently exiled. The Beylin Fist passed down a lineage of resentment and a desire for vengeance through generations, which was inherited by Aguma and his close companion, Bao, along with several other followers.

Physically, Aguma is one of the most imposing and largest characters, possessing a very tall and muscular build. He has spiky brown hair, thick eyebrows, and purple eyes that can glow red when he becomes intensely heated during a battle. His attire typically consists of a sleeveless shirt, dark blue pants held by a brown belt, fingerless gloves, and a light brown cape with a hood, often with bandages wrapped around his left arm.

In terms of personality, Aguma initially presents himself as harsh, fierce, and extremely overconfident, often bragging about the raw power of his Beyblade. He can seem careless and rash in his early encounters. Despite this rough exterior, he is also clever, brave, and possesses a deep-seated care for the well-being of his friends, particularly Bao. As his story progresses and he forms bonds with other bladers, he proves himself to be loyal, reasonable, and kind-hearted, transforming from a primary antagonist into a reliable ally.

Aguma's primary motivation is initially tied to the legacy of his ancestors. He seeks to enact revenge on the Beylin Temple and restore the honor of the Beylin Fist. He follows Bao in attacking exiled members of the temple and enters the ToRyumon Tag Team tournament to prove their strength. His goals become more complex when he is revealed to be a legendary Blader. He is later manipulated by characters like Johannes and Pluto, who promise to restore his ancestors' former glory, leading Aguma to temporarily work with the forces seeking to revive the god of destruction, Nemesis. Ultimately, after being discarded by these forces and realizing he was merely a tool to absorb power for Nemesis, his motivation shifts. He begins to question the purpose of reviving his clan if it leaves them with nothing, and he ultimately decides to fight alongside the other legendary Bladers to protect the world.

Aguma plays a significant role as an antagonist turned ally. He and Bao dominate the ToRyumon tournament, defeating teams including Kyoya Tategami and Benkei Hanawa before beating the main protagonist, Gingka Hagane, and Yuki Mizusawa in the finals. After being recruited by Johannes, he acts as an obstacle for Gingka's group, engaging in a heated rematch with Kyoya. His role changes when he learns the truth about Nemesis. Following a conversation with Dynamis, who tells him the story of his ancestor who chose to stand with the other legendary Bladers, Aguma decides to defect. From that point on, he becomes a crucial member of the legendary Bladers, using his strength and even demonstrating leadership in the final battle against Nemesis and its followers.

Key relationships define much of Aguma's journey. His bond with Bao is the strongest, as they are close friends and a highly effective tag-team. Aguma is protective of Bao, hesitating to use area-of-effect attacks that might also hurt him. His relationship with Kyoya Tategami begins as a bitter rivalry; Kyoya is furious after losing to Aguma, and Aguma mocks Kyoya by calling him a follower of Gingka. This rivalry eventually cools into a respectful, friendly rivalry after they become allies. Dynamis serves as a mentor figure, as his words and the story of Aguma's ancestor are the direct cause of Aguma switching to the side of good. Similarly, Tithi is a rival, but their connection is more rooted in the history of their ancestors, and they eventually fight alongside one another as friends.

Throughout the series, Aguma undergoes significant development. He starts as an arrogant agent of vengeance, is humbled by defeats against bladers like King and Tithi, and becomes disillusioned after being betrayed by the Nemesis cult. His pivotal moment of self-reflection leads him to abandon his inherited hatred and choose his own path, ultimately earning redemption by fighting to save the world alongside his former enemies. He transitions from a lone wolf seeking revenge to a team player who can even give orders to other legendary Bladers.

As a legendary Blader representing Saturn, Aguma wields the Beyblade Scythe Kronos T125 EDS. His power is immense, as he is one of the few characters to have defeated Gingka in a battle. His special moves include the Great Ring of Destruction, Exploding Fist, the 100 Schools of Beylin Fist Secret Technique: Iron Wall Fist, and Heaven and Earth Strike. Beyond his blading abilities, he possesses tremendous physical strength, enough to single-handedly stop a falling helicopter.
