TV-Series
Description
Arianna Hayama Arialdi is a supporting character who serves as the personal maid to Erica Blandelli, a prominent knight of the Italian magical society, the Copper-Black Cross. Despite her young age of seventeen or eighteen, Arianna is a dedicated and skilled domestic servant, proficient in all forms of housekeeping and serving. However, she does have a notable weakness in the kitchen, particularly when it comes to preparing soups and stews.

In terms of personality, Arianna is best described as carefree and lighthearted. This trait is evident in her reactions to the situations around her, such as when she laughs at the protagonist Godou Kusanagi for addressing her formally as "Ms. Arianna". Her carefree nature also manifests in a somewhat nonchalant attitude toward her duties, as demonstrated when she casually left Godou stranded at the Colosseum to run an errand, showing she is not overly burdened by the expectations of her role. Despite this, she is a loyal and complicit supporter of her master, Erica, often assisting in her various schemes without question.

Arianna’s heritage is a mix of Italian and Japanese, being three-quarters Italian and one-quarter Japanese, which accounts for her distinct appearance of black hair and blue eyes. She is an apprentice member of the Copper-Black Cross, the same magical organization as her master, but she possesses very little talent for magic and has no notable aptitude for swordsmanship. Her lack of magical ability was so pronounced that she was nearly expelled from the organization.

While she may lack conventional combat skills, Arianna possesses a singular, remarkable, and highly unconventional talent: driving. She is a frequent driver for Erica and Godou, known for her exceptionally reckless and terrifying driving style. Her skill behind the wheel is so extreme that, despite the apparent danger, she has miraculously never been involved in an accident, and her driving has been effective in high-pressure situations, such as transporting characters to confront a god. This combination of domestic skill, magical ineptitude, and daredevil driving defines her unique place within the story.

Her role in the narrative is primarily that of a supporting figure to Erica Blandelli. She handles transportation, manages daily tasks, and provides a contrast to the more serious and combative main characters. Her key relationships are with her master, Erica, whom she serves faithfully, and with Godou Kusanagi, whom she often drives and occasionally teases or abandons in her characteristic carefree manner. As a minor character, Arianna does not undergo significant personal development, remaining a consistent and reliable, if quirky, presence. Her appearances are most frequent in the earlier volumes of the source material, specifically in volumes one through four, and she makes later cameo appearances in volumes eight and twelve.
