Description
Eight Unabara is one of the main protagonists in his respective series and the younger brother of Kite Unabara. He is a young boy with scraggy blue hair and green eyes, often seen wearing an orange and white jacket along with orange pants. A notable part of his appearance is the pair of headphones he wears around his neck, and he is frequently shown with his skateboard, either riding it or carrying it with him. His beyblade is named Pirate Orochi 145D.

In terms of personality, Eight is characterized as disagreeable, obstinate, and prone to complaining, with a whiny demeanor. He is a sore loser, often throwing temper tantrums and crying when defeated. One of his more idiosyncratic habits involves drawing on the faces of opponents he has just beaten with a pen as a form of humiliation and personal amusement, a practice he refers to as a penalty game. Despite these childish traits, he displays a strong sense of confidence and a calm, relaxed attitude during battles, quickly judging an opponent's abilities and believing talent to be more important than effort.

Eight's primary motivation and most significant relationship is with his older brother, Kite. He is deeply devoted to Kite, constantly praising him with phrases like "You're the best, big bro!" and following him wherever he goes. He becomes infuriated when anyone mocks his brother and hates to see him lose, often battling to avenge Kite's defeats or taking his place in matches. This dynamic is noted as being similar to that of Benkei Hanawa and Kyoya Tategami from previous series in the Metal Saga.

In the story, Eight is introduced when he encounters the protagonist, Zyro Kurogane, at a Beypark Dome. He easily defeats another blader and, after a confrontation with Zyro, accepts a challenge from him, confident in his own victory. His battle style heavily incorporates his skateboarding skills, using the moving parts of the Zero-G stadium to his advantage to control the flow of the match. He initially believes that natural talent is invincible and that training is futile, a philosophy that is challenged through his battles with Zyro. Later in the series, he and his brother are able to combine their beyblades using a technique called Synchrom, fusing Pirate Orochi with Kite's Guardian Leviathan to create Orochi-Leviathan. Together, they can perform a special move known as Spiral Crush.

Eight's notable abilities include being a highly skilled skateboarder, a talent he directly translates into his beyblading techniques. He is adept at using the unique stadiums in the Shogun Steel era to his defensive and strategic advantage, often outmaneuvering opponents with his calm and analytical approach to a battle. His beyblade, Pirate Orochi, is also noted for having high stamina, which aligns with his sometimes passive but strategically waiting battle style.
