Description
Tsubaki Aoyagi, a second-year college student and vocalist for DJ unit RONDO, joined after an invitation from Miyake Aoi to fill their vocal position, quickly gaining attention. Her innate singing talent, evident since early childhood through constant humming, was honed by extensive vocal training before RONDO. Busy parents led to estranged family relations during her upbringing. Though aspiring to sing professionally from a young age, failing a high school audition shattered her confidence. This loss confined her singing to isolated churches, driven by a lingering attachment to music and a need for belonging, until meeting Aoi.

Physically, Tsubaki possesses long black hair extending past her hips, featuring several braids with blue highlights converging into a slightly wavy ponytail. Her light gray eyes often appear cold and glaring. For performances, she adds four dark blonde streaks to the lower part of her hair. She stands 155 cm tall, weighs 46 kg, and has blood type A.

Personality-wise, Tsubaki projects a cool, harsh, and standoffish exterior masking an internally shy and easily flustered nature, coupled with a deep fear of being alone. Around trusted individuals, especially younger members outside RONDO, she reveals a kind-hearted core, often supporting them as an older figure. She struggles with carefree, energetic people like Rinku, Rika, or Nagisa, though she finds their cheerfulness endearing, and can be blunt with reckless individuals. Initially insecure as RONDO's vocalist, she grows more confident through devotion to singing and reassurance from her unit. This fixation makes her view MCing during performances as unnecessary, resulting in minimal stage speaking; Nagisa typically handles audience engagement. Many admire her vocal abilities, which frequently earn compliments.

Her relationships are complex. Within RONDO, she clashes with Nagisa yet collaborates professionally. She shares a close friendship with Yano Hiiro, who recognizes Tsubaki's romantic feelings for Aoi. Hiiro gently teases her while offering support, like teaching her to cook upon learning Aoi appreciates homemade food. Tsubaki credits Aoi as pivotal to her joining RONDO and harbors strong, often concealed romantic feelings toward her, frequently flustered by Aoi's attentiveness. Outside her unit, she maintains a longstanding but occasionally awkward friendship with Seto Rika, her elementary and middle school classmate; their interactions involve mutual embarrassment, with Rika using nicknames like "Tsu-chan" and initiating physical contact. They reconciled during a joint hot spring trip where Tsubaki expressed gratitude for Rika's past support. She also shares a bond with Sakurada Miyu from childhood choir, acting protectively toward her, and connects with Yamate Kyoko over shared vocal training and a mutual desire to improve their singing for others.

Personally, she enjoys foreign films and rock bands, watching favorite movies enough to forgo subtitles. She dislikes chili peppers and mornings, struggles with cooking, and loves oxtail stew. Her specialty is memorizing songs after one listen. She has participated in multiple collaboration events, adopting character designs from other franchises for in-game costumes.

Her development includes reconciling with Rika during the hot springs event and gradually opening up to others despite initial reluctance. In the Double Mix storyline, she is depicted reflecting alone in a chapel about RONDO's future before encountering Rika's group, where Rika's suggestions lead to unexpected interactions.
