Description
Edén de Orion is the Bronze Saint of the Orion constellation in the anime Saint Seiya Omega. He is fifteen years old and was raised with the nobility and demeanor of a prince, possessing a dignified and extremely self-confident bearing that makes him a figure who draws attention through his mysterious and distant nature. As the son of the war god Mars, Edén was groomed from a young age to become the elite warrior and king of a new world that his father intended to create, training under the Gold Saint Mycenae of Leo. This birthright grants him the status of a semi-divine being, a fact that underpins his initial worldview.

In his first appearance, Edén’s personality is defined by a cold and ruthless belief that only the powerful have the right to exist and rule, dismissing those without strength as worthless. He is quiet and keeps others at a distance, viewing his fellow trainees at the Palaestra as inferior and considering the battles of Saints to be a farce. Despite his arrogance, his speech is notably polite and elegant, utilizing the humble pronoun boku, which contrasts with his superior attitude and reinforces his princely characterization. His entire martial philosophy is based on the principle that power equals justice, a conviction instilled in him by his father Mars, who convinced the young Edén that only the strong can guarantee peace and protect the ones they love.

Edén’s central motivation and role in the story are dramatically reshaped by his relationship with Aria, a girl he knew from childhood for whom he harbors deep affection. While initially loyal to his father’s ambition to create a utopian world, Edén begins to doubt Mars’s true intentions. The turning point in his development comes with the death of Aria, an event that devastates him and finally shatters his adherence to his father’s dogma. Consumed by rage and grief, he rebels against his predetermined destiny, directly confronting his master, Mycenae of Leo, as he abandons the path of blind obedience to forge his own justice. His conviction solidifies into a specific desire to save the world that Aria wanted to protect. It is from this powerful wish that his cosmos ascends to the Seventh Sense, manifesting as an immense sphere of divine lightning.

Following the final battle on the planet Mars, Edén’s role takes a complex turn. Living in daily mourning for his lost family and Aria, he chooses to infiltrate the forces of the goddess Pallas as a spy to uncover their internal conditions. Posing as a Third-Class Pallasite wielding the Impulse Mace club, he accepts a mission from Europa to assassinate the protagonist Kouga. However, his true intention is to gather intelligence for Athena’s Saints. After revealing his identity, he chooses not to join Kouga’s group, instead deciding to follow his own solitary path and leave his days of mourning behind.

In terms of notable abilities, Edén is considered exceptionally powerful, often regarded as the strongest Bronze Saint, with power that rivals that of the Gold Saints. His cosmos is of the Thunder element, which he wields with devastating efficiency. Even when facing opponents with a natural elemental advantage, such as those using the Wind element, Edén has demonstrated the ability to defeat them with ease. His precise control over his element allows him to use a small electrical discharge to disrupt an opponent's nervous system, causing them to lose consciousness. His arsenal of attacks includes the Folgore Renaissance, a potent purple lightning bolt fired from the gem on his left arm, and the defensive Tonitrus Saltan, a small but incredibly powerful electric sphere that violently repels any assault. After reaching the Seventh Sense, he unleashes his ultimate technique, the Orion Devastator, a cataclysmic attack of immense destructive power.
