Description
Eden d'Orion is the Bronze Saint of the Orion constellation in Saint Seiya Omega. Known as the son of the war god Mars and the witch Medea, he holds the rank of Bronze Saint, though his power far exceeds that typical of his class, a result of his demigod heritage and rigorous training. He has an older half-sister, Sonia, who serves as the Scorpion Gold Saint. At fifteen years old, Eden possesses the element of Thunder and is distinguished by his blue-green hair, which later turns white following a profound emotional trauma.

In his initial appearance, Eden is characterized as a mysterious, distant, and highly confident young warrior who keeps others at arm's length. He firmly believes in the philosophy that only the strong have value and a right to rule, while the weak are unworthy of existence. This worldview is a direct result of his upbringing, as he was conditioned from childhood by his father, Mars, to become the future king of a new world. He was taught that bonds and hesitation are weaknesses unbecoming of a true warrior and that power is the only means to guarantee peace and protect what one loves. His primary motivation in the first arc is to fulfill his perceived duty as the guardian of Aria, a young girl with the power of light whom Mars intends to use as the foundation for his new world. Eden believes it is his mission to protect her and act as her future king, initially failing to recognize Aria's own wishes and unhappiness.

Throughout the first half of the story, Eden serves as a significant antagonist and rival to the protagonist, Pegasus Koga. He defeats Koga and his allies with overwhelming force, forcibly bringing Aria back to Mars’s fortress. However, the pivotal moment in his development occurs when he witnesses his father, Mars, mortally wound Aria to absorb her power. Her death causes a complete mental breakdown, shattering his previously unwavering conviction. Overcome with grief and regret for never having understood her true desire to protect the world, he falls into a state of despair. In a potent visual representation of his loss, his hair turns white. It is during his subsequent battle with the Virgo Gold Saint, Fudou, that he fully transforms. Channeling Aria’s will and his desire to protect the world she loved, he awakens the Seventh Sense, gaining the immense power needed to continue fighting. He reconciles with the other Bronze Saints and joins them in confronting his father, ultimately turning against Mars to protect Athena and the Earth.

Following the defeat of Mars, Eden’s journey continues in the second season when a new threat, the god of time Saturn and his Pallasite warriors, emerges. Initially appearing as an agent of the enemy while wearing a Chronotector, he is later revealed to have infiltrated their ranks as a spy. During this time, he does not immediately rejoin his former allies, instead choosing to act independently. He achieves a further evolution, breaking his Chronotector to unveil a newly reborn Orion Bronze Cloth, symbolizing his renewed and solidified path as a Saint of Athena. A key relationship in this arc is with the young Subaru, whose mysterious and immense cosmos catches Eden’s attention, leading him to keep watch over him as requested by Aries Kiki. By the final battle, Eden has fully embraced the power of friendship and bonds, standing alongside Koga and the others. He ultimately travels with Koga to find a new purpose, having completed his arc from a proud, isolated prince to a heroic defender shaped by love and loss.

Eden’s abilities are primarily lightning-based, reflecting his Thunder element. His attacks are powerful and numerous, including techniques such as Folgore Renaissance, Tonitrui Saltare, Orion's Devastation, and Orion's Extermination. He can manipulate lightning for offensive blasts, create defensive electric barriers, and channel it through his physical strikes. A prodigy trained by the Leo Gold Saint Mycenae, his cosmos is immense even before awakening the Seventh Sense, allowing him to fight on par with Gold Saints. His signature power-up is the awakening of the Seventh Sense, which elevates his cosmos to a god-like level, and later, the even more powerful Omega Cosmo, enabling him to contend with divine beings like Saturn.
