Description
Narberal Gamma, also known by the alias Nabe, is a high-level battle maid and a member of the Pleiades, the combat maid squad that serves the Great Tomb of Nazarick. Her true race is a doppelgänger, and she was created by the Supreme Being Nishikienrai to act as one of the last lines of defense against intruders within Nazarick. After the transportation of the Great Tomb to the New World, she is assigned additional tasks by Ainz Ooal Gown, the ruler of Nazarick, including gathering information and building the reputation of his adventurer identity.
Narberal appears as an elegant young woman with snow-white skin, long black hair tied into a ponytail, and sharp amber eyes. In her battle maid uniform, she wears a white bonnet in place of a helmet and black armor decorated with gold and silver that resembles a maid outfit. She wields a golden staff plated in silver as her primary weapon. While undercover as the adventurer Nabe, she wears a plain brown cloak to conceal her identity.
Personality-wise, Narberal is stoic, composed, and exceedingly loyal to Ainz Ooal Gown. She follows his commands without question, even when they contradict her personal instincts or seem illogical. She holds a deep-seated contempt for humans, viewing them as inferior beings, and is one of the more dangerous members of the Pleiades due to her willingness to kill them without hesitation when given a reason. However, she does not derive pleasure from killing; it is simply a necessary action in her eyes. The only human she makes an exception for is Aureole Omega, the leader of the Pleiades. She also tolerates the human village leader Enri, likely because of Ainz’s plans concerning Carne Village. Despite her cold and disciplined exterior, Narberal is notably socially clumsy and occasionally scatterbrained, a trait that often escapes notice because of her aloof and competent demeanor. She is also prone to accidentally addressing Ainz with the honorific "-sama" while in public, which conflicts with his attempts to maintain a low profile as the adventurer Momon.
