Description
Enri Emott is a sixteen-year-old girl who originally lived a simple, peaceful life as a farmer in the remote Carne Village, waking each day to work in the fields alongside her parents and younger sister, Nemu. Her ordinary existence is shattered when the village comes under a brutal attack by soldiers disguised as imperial knights, an event that claims the lives of both of her parents. Enri and her sister are saved in the nick of time by a mysterious magic caster named Ainz Ooal Gown, who provides a healing potion for her wounds and gifts her a magical item: the Horn of the Goblin General, which she uses to summon a loyal troop of goblins for protection.

Possessing a kind, cheerful, and altruistic nature, Enri demonstrates a remarkable sense of responsibility and courage in the face of tragedy. She is deeply compassionate, believing that ignoring the suffering of others is nearly as bad as causing it, a conviction that drives her to defend those who cannot defend themselves. Despite her growing authority and physical strength, which she develops from years of farm work, she retains an endearing innocence, especially regarding romance, and often fails to recognize when others are interested in her or the true extent of her own capabilities. Her primary motivation becomes the protection and rebuilding of Carne Village, a duty she accepts not out of ambition but from a genuine desire to care for her community.

Enri’s most significant relationship is with Nfirea Bareare, a young pharmacist from a neighboring village who is her childhood friend. Their bond deepens over time, and after Nfirea confesses his love during a desperate fight against a troll, they become lovers and eventually marry. She is a dedicated and protective older sister to Nemu, whom she prioritizes above all else. While she holds her savior Ainz Ooal Gown in the highest regard as her benefactor, the memory of his face has been magically altered, though her loyalty and gratitude remain absolute. She shares a friendly, if somewhat naive, relationship with the battle maid Lupusregina Beta, unaware of the maid's true sadistic nature, though she has begun to sense something unsettling about her. The summoned goblins, led by a commander named Jugem, are fiercely loyal to Enri, viewing her as their elder sister and following her commands without question, effectively becoming her surrogate family and the core of her military force.

Enri’s role in the story evolves dramatically from a helpless victim to the respected chief of Carne Village and the leader of a formidable army. Initially reluctant, she is persuaded by the village elder and her friends to accept the role of chief, recognizing that she has the trust and support of her people. Her development is marked by a growing sense of confidence and authority, as she learns to command not just her goblin troop but also ogres who agree to serve the village in exchange for food. Her most defining moment occurs when the village is again threatened, this time by a five-thousand-strong force from the Re-Estize Kingdom. In a desperate act, she uses her second Horn of the Goblin General, unknowingly fulfilling its hidden conditions to summon a massive, highly disciplined Goblin Army of over five thousand soldiers, including elite Goblin Red Caps, who utterly annihilate the invading force. This event earns her the title of General Enri, cementing her status as a significant local power, despite her own self-perception as just a simple farm girl.

Regarding notable abilities, Enri herself possesses no innate magical or combat skills but has a superior physical constitution from farm labor, making her one of the physically strongest people in her village. Her true power lies in her natural leadership and tactical acumen, which have allowed her to command a goblin troop and later a professional army of five thousand. Her most powerful asset is the Horn of the Goblin General. Its first use summoned a troop of nineteen goblins of moderate strength. Its second use summoned the true Goblin Army, a force of over five thousand organized soldiers that, by New World standards, is overwhelmingly powerful and could theoretically defeat the combined armies of entire kingdoms. As the commander of this army and the chief of a thriving village, Enri’s personal levels have grown from one to six, placing her at the equivalent of an Iron-ranked adventurer, though her strategic value is immeasurably higher.
