Nemu Emmot is a young girl who lives in Carne Village and is the younger sister of Enri Emmot. She has reddish-brown hair and brown eyes, and she is often seen wearing woolen clothes with her hair in pigtails. Nemu initially possesses a childish and naive personality, but she also displays a surprising awareness of the events around her, sometimes appearing to understand more than her older sister. She is generally cheerful and hardworking, and she becomes notably protective and brave when it comes to her sister. After a devastating attack on Carne Village by Imperial knights, Nemu loses her parents and she and Enri are rescued by the skeletal mage Ainz Ooal Gown. This traumatic event causes Nemu to try to act more mature and devoted, seeking to help her sister carry the burden of their survival. As a result of the rescue, Nemu becomes one of the villagers under Ainz’s direct protection within the newly formed Sorcerer Kingdom. She continues to reside in Carne Village alongside Enri and Enri’s future husband Nfirea Bareare. Nemu does not possess any magical or combat abilities; her significance lies in her role as a symbol of the ordinary people whose lives are changed by the arrival of Ainz and the new political order. Her development is subtle, shaped by loss and the need to adapt to a world where supernatural beings hold power, and she learns to trust the protection offered by Ainz and his subordinates.
