TV-Series
Description
Lukeluther Volve is a silver-ranked adventurer and a ranger who belongs to the adventurer party known as the Swords of Darkness. He has a lean, wiry frame with long limbs and a thin body, which gives him a somewhat spider-like appearance. His blonde hair and brown eyes contribute to a cheerful, approachable expression. He typically wears leather armor and carries a bow, reflecting his role as a scout and archer within the group.
His personality is outgoing and flirtatious; he is something of a womanizer and frequently makes advances toward the female mage Narbral, though she consistently rebuffs him. Despite this playful side, he is a capable and reliable member of his team, carrying out his duties as a ranger with competence. His primary motivation appears to be a desire for adventure, recognition, and perhaps romantic success—a typical attitude for a young, confident adventurer.
In the story, Lukeluther and the Swords of Darkness are hired alongside the adventurers Momon and Narbral to escort the apothecary Nfirea to Carne Village. During the journey, the group fends off attacks from goblins and ogres. However, after the escort mission is completed, the party encounters the psychotic ex-Zuran member Clementine, who murders each member of the Swords of Darkness one by one. Lukeluther is killed by Clementine, his death marking one of the early demonstrations of the brutal gap in power between ordinary human adventurers and the dangerous beings of the New World.
His key relationships are with his party leader Peter Mork, the mage Narbral (whom he pursues), and the temporary ally Momon. There is no significant character development beyond his sudden demise, as he appears only in the early episodes of the first season. His notable abilities as a ranger include proficiency with a bow and expertise in scouting and tracking, but concrete details about any special skills or magic are not elaborated upon.
