Description
Abigail is a central figure, first introduced as the leader of the Four Divine Kings of the Dark Rebel Army, a heavily built man with a long, narrow face, dark hair, and a middle-aged visage.
He was originally a scientist and one of the Ten Wise Men of Europa at the end of the Old World, responsible for creations that led to global cataclysm, including the Spirit Energy Reactor, the Dark God of Destruction Anthrasax, the Dragon Knight armor, and Dark Schneider. After the destruction, he and the other Wise Men extended their lives by becoming Dark Elves. Two centuries before the main story, Abigail left the group, became a human cleric, and traveled the world as the Dark Prophet of the Underworld, specializing in Earth, Undeath, and Dark Magic. He later became a founding member of Dark Schneider's Four Divine Kings.
Following Dark Schneider's apparent death fifteen years prior, Abigail formulated a new plan for world domination by seeking the Four Seals holding Anthrasax. He besieged the Kingdom of Judas and broke the first seal, resulting in his full possession by Anthrasax's spirit. In this state, his personality shifted to that of a sadistic megalomaniac who manipulated his allies into breaking the remaining seals by promising a Sorcerers' Utopia. Key actions included using the Blue Nail of The Accused on Nei, destroying the kingdom of Iron Maiden with a zombie army, unleashing the lich Eddie armed with the Satan Ring, and deploying monsters with Legendary Demonic Artifacts against the kingdom of Metallicana.
His body was destroyed by Dark Schneider just before a two-year timeskip, an act that also destroyed the essence of Anthrasax within him and liberated his soul. Free from possession, his personality became calm and stoic, though still prone to over-the-top actions. He hid inside a technologically advanced exo-suit, disguising himself as the samurai Angus Yarn to ally with Yoko's group. He maintained this disguise for two years, finally revealing himself during Dark Schneider's battle with Kall-Su at the floating elven city of King Crimson Glory. After his reveal, he used a Magical Great Metal Hammer to restore a shrunken Dark Schneider to his original size. He was later convinced by Lucien Renlen, who revealed himself as the fallen archangel Lucifer, to remove the four limiters on the Spirit Energy Reactor in King Crimson Glory and set it to overload critically, generating enough energy to restore Dark Schneider to life. After a subsequent four-year timeskip, he was briefly seen inspecting a seal on the moon before teleporting away.
His extensive abilities stem from his background as one of the Ten Wise Men, granting him incredible mastery of both machines and powerful black magic, further enhanced by his prior fusion with a part of Anthrasax. His arsenal includes various armor like the Abigail Over Armor and a Tentacle Breastplate made of living creatures animated by magic. His weapons include a Magic Hammer and a Magic Morning Star, and his tools encompass items like the Abigail wonderful walking stick and bat wings used as a magical catalyst. Known spells include Accused, Asp, Extreme, Forbidden, Heretic, Regent, and Tool. His techniques include Abigail Crystal Power Makeup for regeneration and Abigail Home Run for powerful strikes.
By combining with the Three Demonic Treasures, he could transform into a giant construct known as Composite Demon King Omega Abigail The First. This form possessed all the abilities of the Demonic Treasures, including manipulating the Earth's power veins, repelling magic, and absorbing magical power, while emitting no detectable magical energy due to its blend of Old World science and magic. Its strengths included near-total resistance to weapons and magic via Anti-Magic Talismans, and powerful beam attacks called Abigail Buster, Abigail Beam, and its most potent weapon, the Abigail Collider, a massive energy beam projected from its chest. A key weakness was an unprotected energy-collecting membrane in its chest cavity, exposed when firing the Abigail Collider, which was exploited by Dark Schneider to destroy the construct.
The character was named after King Diamond's 1987 studio album *Abigail*.
