Dissatisfied with his original human form, which he perceived as physically unattractive, he utilized magic to transform himself into a vampire. This metamorphosis stemmed from his desire to overcome his perceived ugliness. In his vampiric state, he routinely consumes the blood of virgins, then claims them as his servants. His visual appearance is directly inspired by the distinctive look of King Diamond, the lead vocalist of the metal band Mercyful Fate. Within the narrative, Die Amon stands among the antagonists aligned with dark forces, employing his magical abilities to pursue his dark ambitions.
