During the Metallicana invasion, Osborn arrives mounted on horseback and forces his way into the cathedral. Inside, he confronts Princess Sheila Metallicana and commands his giants to execute the traitorous ministers who facilitated his attack but later pleaded for mercy. When the resurrected Dark Schneider appears, Osborn initially scoffs, dismissing him as an impostor. After witnessing Dark Schneider obliterate his forces and sustain a facial injury, Osborn retaliates by casting the Balvolt spell. Convinced Dark Schneider is vanquished, Osborn savagely attacks the charred remains with his mace. His assault proves entirely ineffective as Dark Schneider emerges completely unscathed.

Osborn's demonstrated magical abilities focus solely on offensive power, with the Balvolt spell being his primary technique. This spell fails utterly against Dark Schneider's defenses.
