TV-Series
Description
Menta, known in full as Mint Blancmanche, is a central character distinguished by her petite stature, standing at 123 centimeters, and her unique physical trait of a second pair of white, rabbit-like ears atop her head. She has short, light blue hair and amber or golden eyes. As the sole heiress to the immensely powerful and wealthy Blancmanche财阀, her upbringing was one of luxury and expectation, groomed from childhood to one day lead the family's vast corporate empire.

Her personality is a study in contrasts. On the surface, Menta embodies grace and composure, consistently speaking with a polite and refined tone. She carries herself with a calm, level-headed demeanor and is often the most intellectually strategic member of her team, capable of冷静分析与快速处理信息. However, beneath this elegant exterior lies a more complex inner world. She has a deep-seated aversion to being treated as a child, a sensitivity directly related to her youthful appearance and short height. Furthermore, she harbors a secret passion for collecting and wearing full-body animal costumes, an activity she hides from her teammates to protect her dignified image.

Menta's primary motivation is a search for autonomy and trust. She ran away from home and enlisted in the military to escape the predetermined path her father had set for her, seeking to forge her own identity. This decision is heavily influenced by her innate telepathic ability, which allows her to involuntarily read the surface thoughts of those around her. This power, originating from her distinctive ears, has made her deeply cynical and reluctant to form close bonds, as she is constantly exposed to the unfiltered, and often unflattering, inner voices of others. She trusts very few people outside of her immediate team, developing a guarded and calculative approach to interpersonal relationships as a defense mechanism.

Within the story, Menta serves as the team's strategist and information warfare specialist. Her role is to provide tactical analysis, electronic warfare support, and reconnaissance. She pilots the GA-003 Trick Master, a light blue纹章机 equipped with a powerful广域电子干扰系统与远程飞弹. The Trick Master's most notable feature is its "Fliers," remote-controlled浮游炮 that Menta操控 using her telepathic abilities, allowing for precision strikes from multiple angles. Her unique skills also make the Trick Master's radar exceptionally effective at detecting hidden enemies, functioning as the team's "eyes" in combat.

Her key relationship is with her father, Darno Blancmanche, who initially represents the controlling family life she fled. A pivotal moment in their relationship occurs when he attempts to forcibly bring her home; however, after her commanding officer intervenes, a partial reconciliation is achieved, restoring her agency. Her interactions with her teammates, particularly Milfeulle Sakuraba and Ranpha Franboise, are often marked by her dry wit and pragmatic, sometimes ruthless, cost-benefit analyses of any situation. She is also known for a hidden fear of monkeys.

Menta undergoes significant development across the series. In the original games, she struggles with self-esteem issues when her telepathic powers begin to wane, and later faces a crisis when a injury causes her thoughts to broadcast uncontrollably outward. This forces her to confront her own inner negativity and her fears about her abilities. Through these trials, she learns to trust her comrades more deeply, and she forms a powerful psychic and romantic bond with the protagonist, Tact Mayers. In the sequel series, Galaxy Angel II, she has retired from active military duty to become the president of her family's branch office at NEUE. While her physical appearance has barely changed, her "商人之魂" (merchant's spirit) has grown even sharper. She uses her财阀's influence to support her former allies and even leverages the debts of a new recruit, Anise Azead, to coerce her into joining the new天使队.

Finally, a notable distinction exists between her portrayals in the original games and the anime adaptation. In the games, her rabbit-like ears are a natural, bodily organ for telepathy, and her powers are a serious plot point. In the comedic anime continuity, however, her telepathy is often omitted, her耳朵 are reimagined as detachable飞行装置, and her calculating personality is exaggerated for humor, sometimes veering into outright manipulation and greed.
