TV-Series
Description
Natsumi Ihata is a supporting character in the anime Rizelmine. She serves as the homeroom teacher of class 3-B at the school attended by the protagonist, Tomonori Iwaki. Her background is that of a dedicated educator, but she becomes a key figure in Tomonori's unrequited romantic feelings. At the start of the story, Tomonori harbors a strong crush on her, only to be disheartened when he learns she has become engaged to be married. Throughout the series, she remains largely unaware of the extent of his feelings. Her personality is portrayed as outwardly calm and professional, but she possesses a hidden volatile and dominative temperament, which she actively suppresses by wearing special glasses. This internal conflict adds complexity to her character. Her motivations center on her own romantic life and career. As the story progresses, her engagement and her place in Tomonori's affections create tension within the main cast. Eventually, she gives up any interest in Tomonori and develops a relationship with Ryunosuke Hououin, becoming a couple by the end of the anime. In terms of notable abilities, she does not display any extraordinary powers; she is an ordinary human whose primary role is as a romantic obstacle and later a match for another character. Her development involves moving from being an idealized crush to a more grounded character who finds her own relationship.
