In the world of s-CRY-ed, Kazuma, often called Kazu by his close friend Kanami, is a sixteen-year-old Native Alter User who calls the lawless region known as the Lost Ground his home. He operates as a freelance problem-solver alongside his partner, Kimishima, taking on jobs that involve dealing with other Alter Users for a fee. He has no known last name and lives in an abandoned dentist's office with Kanami, whom he treats as a surrogate younger sister.
Kazuma possesses a headstrong and impulsive personality, often acting on instinct rather than lengthy deliberation. The final form, Proud Fist, covers his entire body in streamlined golden armor resembling a samurai or lion. In this state, his propeller is replaced by a flexible, whip-like tail, and he can launch devastating attacks from both fists.
