Description
Raiko, also spelled Raigo in some releases, is one of the three demon gods who serve Yakumo, the displaced ruler of the Netherworld, in the film Yu Yu Hakusho the Movie: Poltergeist Report. He functions as Yakumo's most trusted subordinate among the group and is deployed to stop the heroes as they work to activate the spiritual energy sites that would restore the Spirit World and prevent the Netherworld from overtaking the Human World.
In terms of background, Raiko belongs to the Netherworld, a plane of existence that was destroyed and banished into cold space ages ago by Lord Enma. He remained loyal to Yakumo through that catastrophe and joins the campaign to recover the source of Netherworld energy and carve out a new dominion in the Human World.
