Description
Hibiki Amawa is the central protagonist of the anime. A young, enthusiastic college graduate, Hibiki holds a certificate in athletics and dreams of becoming a professional teacher. Upon graduation, Hibiki faces immediate financial pressure, struggling to pay the monthly rent to the landlady. In a desperate search for employment, Hibiki applies for an open position at the nearby Seitō Sannomiya Private School. The application is promptly denied, not because of a lack of qualifications, but solely because of the school’s policy to hire only female instructors.

Refusing to accept this discrimination, Hibiki makes a bold decision. With the help of a quick-thinking and resourceful landlady, Hibiki agrees to disguise as a woman to circumvent the school’s rules and prove that teaching ability is not determined by gender. Donning a female persona and using various gadgets to maintain the illusion, Hibiki successfully applies for and secures the job as a physical education teacher, becoming "Ms. Amawa" to the students and faculty.

In the role of a teacher, Hibiki's personality is defined by a genuine passion for education and a strong determination to help students realize their full potential. Hibiki is honorable and dedicated, treating the position as a real opportunity to mentor young people rather than as a mere scheme. The focus remains on being a supportive and effective educator, navigating the daily challenges that come with the job. The persona is described as having long brown hair that reaches past the waist and green eyes. Life at the school is not without its complications, as Hibiki must constantly perform careful acrobatics to avoid exposing the secret, all while managing the normal interpersonal conflicts and rivalries that arise among the students.

A key relationship develops with a student named Fūko Kuzuha. Fūko, a kind-hearted and somewhat clumsy girl, finds herself developing strong romantic feelings for her new teacher. Unaware of Hibiki's true identity, Fūko is thrown into a state of confusion, believing her admiration might signify something she does not fully understand. This creates a complex and delicate dynamic for Hibiki, who is aware of the feelings but must maintain a professional boundary as an educator while also keeping the larger secret of the disguise intact.

Throughout the narrative, Hibiki’s role is to challenge the school’s prejudiced system from within. The initial motivation to prove the administration wrong evolves into a deeper commitment to the students’ well-being. As the story progresses, the disguise becomes less of a simple deception and more of a lens through which Hibiki experiences the world and forms bonds with others. The character's development is marked by the increasing difficulty of maintaining the female persona as personal feelings get involved and the administration grows more suspicious. The most notable ability is not physical, but performative: the capacity to convincingly embody the female teacher persona in all aspects of school life, from leading gym class to navigating social situations with other staff members, all while retaining the core identity and earnest intentions of a young man who simply wants to teach.
