Puchuu, also referred to as Puchu, is the name given to a group of small extraterrestrial aliens who appear as recurring supporting characters in the anime adaptation of Excel Saga. They are introduced as alien mascot-like creatures traveling aboard a spaceship that originally carried a coffin-like vessel, inside of which the character Hyatt was found. This detail links the Puchuu directly to Hyatt's mysterious origins in the anime, in which she is presented as a supposed princess from space, and it establishes the group as one of the notable original elements created specifically for the animated version of the story.
