Description
Chuck Keith is a 20 year old pilot serving the Earth Federation Forces who plays a supportive role in the conflicts surrounding the Delaz Fleet. A graduate of the Federation military academy, he holds the rank of Ensign and is initially stationed at the Torrington base in Australia as a test pilot. His early duties involve piloting a captured Zeon MS-06F2 Zaku II in mock combat exercises against newer Federation test machines.
Keith has an amiable and friendly personality that makes him well-liked by his peers. He is not particularly assertive and is often prone to nervousness, especially when dealing with higher-ranking officers or individuals with strong personalities. Despite this susceptibility to anxiety, he is not a coward and demonstrates considerable courage in combat situations, resolutely staying with his team even when facing overwhelming odds or legendary enemy pilots.
The central motivation for Chuck Keith throughout the story is loyalty to his comrades and a sense of duty. He is not driven by personal glory or ambition but by a desire to support his friends and fulfill his responsibilities as a Federation officer. He pilots this unit during the Albion's pursuit of the stolen Gundam across Africa and into space, participating in the Federation's efforts to prevent the Zeon operation known as "Stardust."
His most significant relationships are with Kou Uraki and with Mora Boscht. His friendship with Kou is a cornerstone of his character, providing a constant and loyal presence. During his time on the Albion, Keith becomes the target of affection from Mora, the ship's chief mechanic. This connection develops into a warm and stable romantic relationship between the two.
