Description
Primrose Shelley, commonly called Prim, is a supporting character in the anime and light novel series Dragonar Academy, known in Japanese as Seikoku no Dragonar. She is the personal maid of Veronica Lautreamont and the older sister of Cosette Shelley, another maid who is known for her large bust. Prim is a young adult woman with long dark blue hair that reaches down to her hips, tied into a ponytail with a purple bow and accompanied by two strands that fall to chest length. She has purple eyes and a noticeably well-endowed figure.

In personality, Prim is earnest, good-natured, and hardworking, and she approaches her duties with genuine dedication. She is also carefree and carries a natural, airheaded innocence. Her defining trait, however, is that she is extremely clumsy and scatterbrained while remaining completely unaware of how accident-prone she is. Because she never seems to realize the extent of her own clumsiness, she repeatedly causes minor disasters around her. This makes her something of a troublemaker in the places where she works, though the chaos she creates is never intentional.

Her primary role in the story is that of a supporting figure within the household and service staff connected to the royal family. She works as a general-purpose maid aboard the magic warship Silvanus, where her combination of diligence and clumsiness tends to disrupt everyday operations. In this regard she is the complete opposite of her younger sister, Cosette, who is composed, capable, and far more reliable, and the contrast between the two sisters is one of the more notable aspects of her character. Her motivation is rooted in loyalty and a sincere desire to serve those around her well, especially her mistress Veronica Lautreamont, even though her best efforts are frequently undermined by her own accidents.

Prim does not undergo any major personal development arc over the course of the series, remaining a consistent source of comic relief whose mishaps punctuate the main storyline. She is an adult woman, and her characterization is built around her domestic role, her cheerful but oblivious nature, and her relationship with her more competent sister. She is not defined by combat ability or dragon-related skills, and no special powers or talents are highlighted for her; her significance lies in her service position, her personality, and the humor that comes from her constant, unselfconscious blundering.
