Description
Mako Fujisaki, previously known by the designation Valkyria, is a main antagonist in Brynhildr in the Darkness. She is a test subject created by the same secret research organization that produced other witches in the series. Mako is an S-rank hybrid magic-user, a classification that denotes her extraordinary power and the combination of multiple abilities within a single individual. Her appearance is nearly identical to that of the protagonist Neko Kuroha, except that Mako has long white hair and violet eyes, and she typically wears a white, robe-like dress with long sleeves and white Mary Jane shoes.

Mako possesses a sociopathic personality, displaying a complete lack of empathy or moral restraint. Her motivations are driven by her nature as a weapon designed by the organization; she acts as a relentless enforcer and executioner, pursuing escaped witches and eliminating anyone who interferes with the laboratory's objectives. She views her own power as a means to dominate and destroy, and she takes pleasure in the suffering of her opponents.

In the story, Mako serves as one of the most dangerous threats that the group of escaped witches and Ryouta Murakami must face. Her role is that of an unstoppable hunter sent by the organization to eliminate rogue subjects and silence outsiders. She does not undergo significant character development in the traditional sense, as she remains a largely static force of destruction. Her interactions with other characters are defined by conflict and violence; she is an adversary to Neko, Ryouta, and the other witches, and her presence forces them to confront the limits of their own abilities.

Mako is defined by her eight distinct magical abilities. These include teleportation, which allows her to move instantly across distances; regeneration, granting her rapid healing from injuries; presence detection, enabling her to locate others; and anti-matter manipulation, her most destructive and feared capability. This combination of powers makes her extremely difficult to defeat in direct combat, as she can evade attacks, recover from damage, track her targets relentlessly, and unleash devastating offensive force.
