Moon Shadow is a Ninjitsu Duelist from the Fuma Clan Duel School who appears in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V anime. He participates in the Junior Youth class of the Arc League Championship, later known as the Maiami Championship. He is a serious and quiet individual by nature, though he can be momentarily startled by the unusual behavior of those around him. His demeanor reflects the discipline of his clan, and he is deeply loyal to any mission assigned to him. This loyalty drives him to help Selena even at great personal risk, nearly costing him his defeat against the Obelisk Force. After successfully fending off members of that force, he becomes one of the Lancers, an elite group formed to combat interdimensional threats. His motivations are rooted in clan honor and a strong sense of duty, but he is also personally affected by the loss of his brother, Sun Shadow, who was turned into a card by Sora. Moon Shadow initially holds a grudge against Sora for this act, but he later confronts him directly in the Synchro Dimension and forgives him, afterward working together with Sora to rescue Yuzu from Security headquarters. Moon Shadow is notably left-handed, a rarity among Duelists in the franchise and the first in Arc-V; his brother Sun Shadow is right-handed, highlighting a thematic duality between them. As a Duelist, he employs a ninja-themed strategy, reflecting his training and his clan’s techniques. His development from a minor participant to a steadfast member of the Lancers and his ability to overcome personal grievances mark his growth throughout the series.
