TV-Series
Description
Dorchin is a supporting character from the anime Orphen. He is one half of a comedic duo of brothers, the other being his older sibling, Volkan. The two are members of the Earth Tribe, a race of dwarf-like people from the southern region of the continent. Dorchin was forcibly dragged away from his home in Masmaturia by Volkan after the latter was disowned by their family, and the pair now find themselves traveling and working together.

In stark contrast to his loud, pushy, and often belligerent brother, Dorchin is the meeker, quieter, and more sensible half of the pair. He is one of the few comparatively normal and level-headed individuals in a series filled with eccentric personalities, which often leaves him in the position of a straight man. He is intelligent and surprisingly knowledgeable for someone who appears to come from an undeveloped region, and he is frequently seen carrying encyclopedias or other books. While his brother is prone to reckless schemes and outbursts, Dorchin is more reserved, thoughtful, and often tries to be the voice of reason, though his advice and warnings are almost never heeded by Volkan.

Dorchin's role in the story is inextricably linked to his brother and their mutual debt to the protagonist, Orphen. While it was strictly Volkan who borrowed money from Orphen, Dorchin is included in the debt by association and is often treated by Orphen as being just as culpable as his brother. As a result, the two brothers are frequently forced to work as Orphen's underlings, serving as porters, trap-springers, and general errand-runners. Their situation is one of mutual exploitation; Orphen has effectively made them his servants to work off the money Volkan owes, a circumstance that Dorchin endures with a sense of resigned fate, understanding that he is caught in his brother's mess.

Despite his quiet and often long-suffering nature, Dorchin possesses a core of hidden strength and loyalty. He is more inclined to do the right thing for its own sake, unlike Volkan who may need a bribe, and he often reminds his brother of their obligation to listen to Orphen. Though he can seem exasperated and ready to abandon his troublesome brother, Dorchin has shown that he genuinely cares for Volkan, becoming unusually flustered and distraught in the rare moments when he believes his brother might be in genuine danger. His key relationships, therefore, are defined by his deep yet complicated bond with his brother and his position as an unwilling but loyal subordinate to Orphen, who typically subjects both brothers to his magical blasts when they cause trouble.

Dorchin is a teenager with brown hair cut to ear length and notable blue eyes. He is easily identified by his distinctive attire, which typically includes a cape and a pair of prominent round, swirling glasses. Physically, the brothers are presented as being practically indestructible, often surviving magical attacks and other dangerous situations that would incapacitate a normal person.
