Description
Yayoi Sakamoto holds a passionate enthusiasm for comedy, specifically enrolling at Osaka's Nanba district Kazuki High School to pursue comedic performance, recognizing the area's reputation for launching comedians. Her dedication was sparked in childhood, forming the comedy duo "Konamonzu" with Yomogi Takahashi. Reuniting with Yomogi at Kazuki High School, Yayoi revived their collaboration, initially practicing routines in local parks to enter area contests. During one session, a mysterious girl, later identified as Yuzu Hosono, approached them, resulting in the formation of the Kansai-representing trio "Young Wai-Wai". As a member, Yayoi participates in the national comedic trio competition, the Teppen Grand Prix, requiring her group to reside alongside other qualifying teams in the historic comedian dormitory, Takako-so. Within Young Wai-Wai, Yayoi frequently embodies the energetic, eccentric "boke" role in manzai routines, contrasting Yomogi's "tsukkomi" persona. Her absurd contributions fuel the group's dynamics, exemplified by incidents like accidentally decapitating their manager's valued bodybuilding trophy. Throughout the competition, Yayoi and her trio face diverse challenges, including ordeals imposed by the Teppen Grand Prix Committee and unusual scenarios like appearing on a strange quiz show, underscoring her adaptability and persistence.
