Kamidake is a fictional character from the anime series Tenchi Universe. He is one of two personal guardians and bodyguards to the Jurai royal princesses, Ayeka and Sasami. Externally, he and his companion Azaka appear as two floating, sentient logs, with Kamidake identified by red markings on his form while Azaka has blue. Despite this simple appearance, they are powerful protectors capable of generating energy barriers that can shield the princesses from danger and paralyze opponents. Their powers, however, are noted to pale in comparison to the might of the Royal Trees of Jurai, the most sacred and powerful entities in their civilization. They are usually seen hovering just outside the Masaki family home, where they often speak quietly with each other, standing watch over Ayeka even when she is not in immediate danger.

In the story of Tenchi Universe, the identities of Azaka and Kamidake have a deeper significance. The personalities and skills of two legendary Jurai knights who share their names were downloaded into the guardian logs, making them living vessels of these ancient warriors' essences. As the series reaches its climax, this becomes crucial to the plot. During the final confrontation on the planet Jurai, the elder Jurai prince Yosho uses his energy to sacrifice the guardian forms of Azaka and Kamidake, drawing out the data of the original knights to resurrect them in full humanoid form. These resurrected knights possess formidable combat abilities, using energy blasts and staves in battle, and they assist the protagonist Tenchi Masaki by fighting against the Dark Jurai knights serving the primary antagonist, Kagato, clearing a path for Tenchi to reach the throne room and save Ayeka. After the battle concludes, the scientist Washu is able to reactivate the log guardians Azaka and Kamidake, allowing them to resume their protective duties once more.
