Yuri Nakamura, called Yurippe, originates from *Angel Beats!* and appears in *Kaginado*. As the eldest of four siblings in a middle-class family, robbers broke into her home while her parents were away. They demanded valuables, threatening to kill her siblings at intervals. Hindered by a fall while carrying a vase and unable to find the valuables, she failed to save her siblings, who were murdered. She later died after being hit by a car while waiting at a bus stop. This trauma fueled her rebellion against divine justice. In the afterlife, assuming a teenage form, she founded and led the Afterlife Battlefront (SSS) to fight against God, whom she blamed for her suffering and the fates of others. Mistaking student council president Kanade Tachibana for a divine agent due to her supernatural abilities, she dubbed her "Angel." Yuri recruited members like Hideki Hinata and Yuzuru Otonashi, orchestrating operations against Kanade and the established order. Her leadership blended charisma, strategic intelligence, and adaptability, though she sometimes acted impulsively—involving recruits in trivial debates or sacrificing allies (knowing they would revive) for objectives. Hinata gave her the nickname "Yurippe," widely adopted by the SSS. Yuri wielded firearms like a Beretta M9 pistol and knives, excelling in close combat to rival Kanade. Her tactical initiatives included Operation Descent into the weapon-producing Guild and sabotaging Kanade's academic records. When Ayato Naoi replaced Kanade as student council president, she pragmatically integrated him into the SSS despite prior conflicts. A pivotal shift occurred upon learning Kanade's powers were self-crafted via programming, not divine gifts. Facing shadow monsters created by a self-proclaimed "god" manipulating the afterlife's systems, she destroyed the systems generating them, averting permanent soul erasure and enabling souls to move on voluntarily. Visions of her forgiving siblings helped her accept her past. She reconciled with Kanade before moving on to reincarnation. Manga expansions (*Heaven's Door*) depicted her as more initially violent, including physical confrontations with Hinata, and suggested romantic undertones between them. Additional details note her brief stint as a bassist in a band with Shiina before their dismissal, her visual resemblance to Haruhi Suzumiya, and her hatred of nattō.
