Description
Nevasca do Inferno, known in English as Blizzard of Hell or Hellish Blizzard, is the hero alias of Fubuki, a professional hero ranked first in B-Class of the Hero Association. She is a powerful esper, or psychic, and the younger sister of the S-Class hero Tornado of Terror, Tatsumaki. Fubuki leads a faction of heroes called the Blizzard Group, consisting mainly of B-Class and lower-ranked heroes who follow her in exchange for protection and guidance.
Fubuki’s background is shaped by her relationship with her older sister. Tatsumaki is an exceptionally talented esper, while Fubuki’s own psychic abilities, though formidable, pale in comparison. This disparity has given Fubuki a deep inferiority complex. She is highly ambitious and obsessed with status and recognition, seeking to rise through the hero ranks and prove her worth. At the same time, she is insecure about her limitations, which often leads her to control her environment and those around her in order to feel secure.
Her personality is complex. On the surface, she appears composed, confident, and even haughty, but beneath that lies a vulnerable and anxious individual who fears being overshadowed. She craves validation and despises being treated as weak. Despite her controlling tendencies, she genuinely cares for her subordinates and can be protective of them. She is also pragmatic and strategic, preferring to avoid direct confrontation unless necessary.
Fubuki’s role in the story evolves significantly. Initially introduced as a rival to Saitama, who threatens her position as the top B-Class hero, she eventually becomes one of his allies and a regular supporting character. Her motivations shift from personal ambition to a desire for growth and genuine connection. She seeks to surpass her sister but also to find her own path as a hero.
Key relationships include her sister Tatsumaki, whose overprotective and dismissive attitude fuels Fubuki’s complex. Among her subordinates, notable members are Eyelashes, Mountain Ape, and Lily, who are fiercely loyal to her. She develops an important dynamic with Saitama, who initially refuses to join her group but later influences her perspective on strength and heroism. Fubuki also interacts with other heroes such as Genos and Bang.
Her development is one of the more nuanced in the series. She starts as a calculating and status-driven hero but gradually becomes more self-aware and open to change. Through her encounters with Saitama and her involvement in major battles, she learns to accept her own limits while striving to improve.
Fubuki’s notable abilities stem from her psychic powers. She can manipulate objects telekinetically, create powerful barriers, and generate storms of debris that ravage the battlefield. Her signature technique involves swirling rubble into a violent vortex, overwhelming enemies with relentless attacks. She is also capable of limited flight and enhanced physical performance through psychic reinforcement. While not as powerful as her sister, she is still considered a formidable threat to most monsters and has proven her worth in several large-scale conflicts.
