TV-Series
Description
Kiitan, also known as the Zodiac God of the Monkey, holds the ninth rank among the twelve Eto-Shin in the Etotama series, with Northern Kanto designated as her patron location. She is a female character with a youthful and energetic appearance, characterized by short yellow hair that is often tied into a side ponytail secured with a pink flower, and a distinctive piece of hair standing up on her head. Her light brown, amber-like eyes complement her fair skin, and she possesses visible monkey ears and a tail. Her typical outfit consists of a yellow crop top with a black stripe at the bottom, a matching yellow skirt, short black leggings, and black Ugg-style boots trimmed with red fur.

In terms of personality, Kiitan is portrayed as an individual with a fundamentally positive and well-mannered disposition, knowing how to speak and act appropriately in most situations. However, this polite exterior is balanced by a mischievous and naughty side, driven by a strong sense of curiosity and a pure-hearted nature. She can be impulsive and somewhat naïve, but she compensates for these traits with an ability to learn from her mistakes. Her playful and outgoing nature is most often expressed in her interactions with her close companion, Inu-tan, with whom she enjoys fooling around and engaging in various antics.

Kiitan's motivations and role in the story are closely tied to her relationships with the other Zodiac Gods. She shares an exceptionally strong bond with Inu-tan, the Dog Eto-Shin. Their relationship is frequently described as being like that of sisters or twins, characterized by a deep closeness where they are seldom apart and rarely in serious conflict. Their bond is so strong that they often synchronize their actions, speaking in unison or mirroring each other’s emotional expressions. Regarding the protagonist Nyaa-tan, Kiitan generally maintains an indifferent attitude. In a notable instance, she and Inu-tan collaboratively offered their sol/lull seals in exchange for food, demonstrating a pragmatic side to their motivations. Her personal fondness for bananas is a recurring trait, and her name is derived from the Japanese onomatopoeia for a monkey's cry, "kikii".

Kiitan participates actively in the story's events, including official Eto-shin matchups. Her notable abilities include a signature combat technique that involves a jump kick accompanied by spinning banana-shaped energy projections beneath her foot. She has demonstrated her abilities in an official EMT12 match alongside Inu-tan and Nyaa-tan against Shima-tan. Very little is known about her background or past prior to the events of the series. Her character undergoes development primarily through her consistent and unwavering partnership with Inu-tan, showcasing a stable yet dynamic twin-like bond that contributes to the group's interactions and resolves various situations.
