Description
Lulu Yurigazaki is a character in the anime Yurikuma Arashi. She is a bear who, together with Ginko Yurishiro, crosses the Wall of Severance and takes human form to infiltrate human society. Under her human disguise, she enrolls as a seventeen-year-old student at Arashigaoka Academy. In the bear world, she was once the princess of the Bear Kingdom. Her jealousy indirectly caused the death of her younger brother, and out of guilt she resolves to aid Ginko in her quest to obtain the promised kiss.

Personality-wise, Lulu is consistently optimistic, sociable, and maintains a positive outlook even in difficult situations. She is deeply affectionate toward Ginko and often extends that warmth to Kureha Tsubaki as well. She is eager to help those she cares about and frequently declares that she is very smart. She has a strong fondness for honey and will add it to almost any dish.

Her primary motivation is to atone for her past failure by supporting Ginko’s goal. This sense of duty is paired with genuine love and loyalty, which drives her to protect Ginko at any cost. Throughout the story, Lulu acts as a supportive ally, helping both Ginko and Kureha navigate the conflicts between bears and humans. Her key relationships are with Ginko, whom she adores, and with Kureha, whom she also tries to help despite the initial mistrust. Her development moves from a guilt-ridden former princess to a selfless guardian willing to sacrifice herself for others.

As a bear, Lulu can shift between bear and human forms. She demonstrates no other explicitly supernatural abilities beyond what is typical of her kind. In the climax of the series, she is killed by the Invisible Storm while defending Ginko, cementing her role as a tragic, devoted figure.
