Chousuke Takada is a student in Class 3-D of Kunugigaoka Junior High School. He is most often seen in the company of his close friend, Nobuta Tanaka, with whom he shares nearly every scene. In terms of appearance, Takada has black hair and dark eyes, which are framed by black-rimmed glasses. Like his fellow students in the main building, he wears the standard grey school uniform.

His personality is characterized by a consistent rudeness and disrespect, particularly directed toward the students of Class 3-E. This dismissive attitude also extends to his other classmates in general. Aside from this unpleasant demeanor, Takada possesses no particularly noteworthy characteristics or abilities. His primary role in the story is as a minor background antagonist, representing the scorn that Class 3-E faces from the rest of the school.

The most significant relationship in his life is with Nobuta Tanaka. Their friendship is so close that they are nearly inseparable, have no qualms sharing a two-person bicycle, and were even suspected by their female classmates of being in a romantic relationship. This bond extends past their graduation from middle school. According to the graduation album, Takada ends up living together with Tanaka as roommates. It became a custom for Takada to listen to Tanaka complain about his girlfriend while they bathed. Furthermore, despite swearing he would get a girlfriend before his friend, Takada remains without one due to his lack of experience and his pride.
