Description
Haruko Yumesaki is a student at Seiou Gakuen who is in her first year, attending class 1-C. She is a member of the school's gardening club and is almost always found tending to the flower beds on campus. Born on April 24th, she is sixteen years old. Haruko has a small physical stature, standing 150 centimeters tall, and has light blonde hair paired with green eyes.
Haruko’s entire life revolves around a deep love for plants, a passion largely shaped by her upbringing as her father is a botanist. Having spent most of her childhood caring for vegetation, she is somewhat unaccustomed to and clumsy when it comes to socializing with other people. She has a dreamy and airy personality, often described as being lost in thought or engaging in fantasies at any given moment, giving her a mysterious and gentle demeanor that leads others to compare her to a fairy. Her primary motivation is simply the care and nurturing of the flowers and plants she loves.
Within the narrative of the series, Haruko serves as a gentle presence. She is frequently depicted working in the soil, typically dressed in a straw hat, gloves, and long boots, along with overalls or an apron to protect her clothes. When not gardening, she prefers girlish dresses that suit her youthful appearance. Her devotion to the flower beds is not just a club activity but a personal attachment, and she is often seen daydreaming while she works. Regarding relationships, Haruko is known to have a connection with another student named Isuzu, with whom she is featured on a date in special card art; after Isuzu defended her, Haruko showed affection by clinging to her and smiling.
Haruko’s development is subtle, stemming from her interactions with the world outside of her plants. Because she has a hard time communicating with her peers, her time with the gardening club and her bonds with people who appreciate her gentle nature help her slowly navigate social situations. Her notable abilities are entirely related to her green thumb. She is extremely knowledgeable about horticulture, which is supported by her favorite subject being biology. This allows her to successfully manage the school flower beds and harvest vegetables.
