Noodle Pete is fundamentally invested in the wellbeing and upbringing of Ronja, the chief's daughter, whom he helps to raise. He teaches her about the forest, tells her stories and jokes, plays games with her, and keeps her entertained and occupied throughout her childhood. His motivations are centred on providing companionship and guidance to Ronja, and he acts as a surrogate grandfather figure within the fort.
