Description
Leonardo Stoller is a demihuman, an artificially created being bred during the war between the Gaz Empire and the Alliance of Six Nations. He was engineered for hazardous duties such as frontline combat and reconnaissance, and his mixed heritage frequently subjects him to prejudice in the post-war era. Visibly, he possesses black cat ears and a tail, marking him as a non-human creature. He serves as a special operative for the Post-war Reconstruction Implementation Agency, commonly called the Kleeman Agency, and is a member of the Gillette Corps. Within the unit, he functions primarily as a scout and tracker, using his augmented senses and agility to gather intelligence and pursue targets.

Stoller’s personality is shaped by his wartime origins and his place in the Corps. Under the mentorship of Captain Alberic Gillette, he develops a fierce loyalty and a strong sense of duty toward his team. He is quiet and diligent, often analyzing situations carefully before acting. Over the course of the second season, he grows into a more strategic thinker, taking the time to study the motives of Chaika Trabant and the other Chaika claimants, and forming theories about their true identities. His motivations are rooted in his desire to belong and to prove his worth as a member of the Gillette Corps, despite the lingering distrust toward demihumans. He executes his assignments with professional dedication, rarely expressing personal ambitions beyond serving his commander and his unit.

In the story, Stoller is a supporting character who appears alongside the main Gillette team. He aids in tracking the protagonists and other Chaika groups, providing vital reconnaissance to his superiors. His most significant relationships are with Alberic Gillette, whose guidance provides him with purpose and direction, and with his fellow squad members, who accept him as a valuable comrade. He does not undergo a dramatic transformation but demonstrates a gradual deepening of his tactical insight and confidence. His notable abilities include enhanced senses and tracking skills typical of a demihuman scout, as well as a sharp observational mind that allows him to assess enemy behavior and predict their next moves. He relies on speed and stealth rather than brute force, making him an effective asset in the field.
