Nobuya Shiki is a student at Toritsu Academy in Niigata Prefecture and a supporting character in Gundam Build Fighters Try. He is the middle child of the Shiki triplets and a member of the Gunpla battle team SD-R. Nobuya has a hot-blooded, energetic personality and serves as the team’s mood maker, bringing enthusiasm to his brothers Toshiya and Kazuya. Together, the triplets pilot a trio of SD Gunpla named SxDxG Gundam, which can combine into the dragon-like mobile armor Snibal-Drago-Gira; Nobuya specifically pilots Dragonagel Gundam. Their battle strategy relies on collecting and analyzing data from opponents’ previous matches. In the national tournament, SD-R is eliminated in the quarterfinals, after which the triplets provide the main Try Fighters team with their gathered data on the dominant team Celestial Sphere. Nobuya’s role is primarily as a rival-turned-ally, and his development is limited to this shift from competitor to helper. His close relationship with his brothers defines his team dynamic, and his hot-blooded nature complements his older brother Toshiya’s leadership and younger brother Kazuya’s calm analysis.
