Description
Ubauzou serve as the primary antagonists in the series, emerging when the Bundoru Gang captures Recipepes—small dish-representing fairies—and extracts their energy using specialized containers. The power of an Ubauzou scales directly with the number of Recipepes consumed; more captured fairies create a stronger entity. Distinct containers used by different gang members lead to variations in the Ubauzou's form and abilities.

Physically, all Ubauzou share core traits: a body formed from a possessed object (usually kitchenware or food-related items), visible fangs, spiked protrusions on their heads, a mask covering their eyes, and the Bundoru Gang emblem on their foreheads. Mask color and additional markings differ based on the summoner and container. Standard Ubauzou summoned by Gentlu feature dark blue masks. Later variants called Motto Ubauzou ("More Ubauzou"), introduced by Narcistoru, exhibit green masks, olive-green helmets, larger grey horns, and robotic elements, making them significantly stronger. Starting in episode 17, Narcistoru fused two possessed objects into single Motto Ubauzou. Spiritoru adapted this technique in episode 25, merging cooking and non-cooking items.

Secretoru's Gossori Ubauzou ("Completely Ubauzou") feature pink masks, horns, and dinosaur-like attributes, surpassing the Motto Ubauzou in power. A unique Gossori Ubauzou summoned by Godatz in episode 42 possesses a mask resembling his face and dark yokai-inspired features.

An Ubauzou's abilities derive directly from its possessed object. For instance, a frying pan Ubauzou extends its limbs for body slams; a coffee maker Ubauzou fires beams from buttons and summons winds; a salad spinner Ubauzou generates tornadoes and fires lasers; a noodle drainer Ubauzou traps enemies in nets. Fused Ubauzou combine their component objects' abilities, such as a whisk and stove pot Ubauzou shooting lasers, striking with the whisk, and producing lava.

Purified by the Pretty Cures' attacks, Ubauzou disintegrate while uttering "Onakaippāi" ("I'm stuffed"), releasing the captured Recipepes. Purification methods evolve with the Cures' powers, employing later finishers like "Light My Delicious" against stronger variants.

The name "Ubauzou" originates from the Japanese "ubau" (奪う), meaning "to steal," reflecting their nature as manifestations of stolen Recipepe energy. They are the first monsters in the franchise with a dedicated character designer, credited as Haruyama Kazunori. Civilians within the series occasionally witness Ubauzou, as noted in episodes 6 and 36.
