Description
Rundelhaus Code is a young man with short blonde hair and blue eyes who initially appears as a flamboyant and self-important sorcerer, speaking in a dramatic, noble manner. He is actually a member of the People of the Land, the non-player characters of the world of Elder Tale who gained true sentience after the Apocalypse. Despite his proud and often overconfident demeanor, he is sincere, kind-hearted, and genuinely desires to become a hero in the eyes of others. His motivations are driven by a deep admiration for the adventurers he once encountered as an NPC and a longing to be seen as a capable and valiant figure. Through Shiroe’s creation of a new world‑class spell, Rundelhaus Code is transformed from a mere native into a true Adventurer, gaining the ability to level up, respawn, and wield the full power of the Sorcerer class. He becomes a member of the Log Horizon guild, where he takes on a supporting combat role, unleashing powerful magical attacks in battle. His relationships within the guild are central to his growth: he forms a close bond with the bard Isuzu, who often teases him and keeps his ego in check; he also befriends the younger members Minori and Tohya, learning to work as part of a team rather than seeking glory alone. Over the course of the story, Rundelhaus Code develops from an attention‑seeking dreamer into a more reliable and self‑aware ally, maturing through his experiences as an adventurer and his growing understanding of the fragility of the People of the Land. His notable abilities stem from his Sorcerer class, allowing him to cast high‑damage elemental spells, and his adventurer status grants him the resilience and revival mechanics that make him a lasting asset to the guild.
