Description
Rafael, known in full as Rafael Banderas, is a supporting character in Garo: The Animation, appearing in the first anime series, Garo: The Carved Seal of Flames. He is an adult man with black hair cut to ear length and brown eyes, and he belongs to an older generation of the Makai community as a veteran Makai Knight. He carried the title of Gaia the Stronghold Knight, a rank whose name official subtitles render as the Knight of Defense, marking him as a figure tied to the protection of the kingdom of Valiante.
In terms of background, Rafael was a close friend and longtime comrade of the previous Garo, the Golden Knight who was the father of Anna and Esmeralda and, through them, the grandfather of León and Alfonso.
