Description
Klim Nick, whose full name is Klimton Nicchini, is the son of the Amerian president Zucchini Nicchini. He serves as an ace mobile suit pilot for the Amerian military, initially holding the rank of lieutenant aboard the Pirate Corps vessel Megafauna. He is later promoted to captain and given command of the ship Salamandra in the Amerian fleet.

Klim Nick is defined by his immense self-confidence, often declaring himself a genius. This boastful exterior is backed by genuine talent, as he is an exceptionally skilled mobile suit pilot and a quick learner in combat. Despite his flamboyance, he is a loyal comrade and a charismatic leader who cares for those under his command. He prefers to be called by his nickname rather than his full name, as it allows him to be treated as a regular pilot rather than the president's son, a distinction he values deeply.

His motivations are driven by a strong sense of ambition and a desire to prove his worth through his own abilities rather than his family status. He joins the Pirate Corps mission to rescue Aida Surugan, and his personal goals often align with the larger conflicts surrounding the energy politics and militarization of the Regild Century.

In the narrative, Klim Nick serves as a prominent ally to the main protagonists. His role evolves from a daring squadron member to a respected field commander. His relationship with his fellow pilot Mick Jack is one of close camaraderie, and he develops a competitive yet respectful dynamic with Bellri Zenam, acknowledging Bellri's extraordinary piloting abilities while firmly believing his own skills are superior.

Over the course of the story, Klim Nick develops from a somewhat reckless young officer into a mature tactical commander. He maintains his confident personality but learns to take responsibility for his squadron and its effectiveness in the chaotic battles of the Reconguista, displaying a growing maturity in how he handles both victory and setbacks.

His notable abilities include his mastery of mobile suit combat, particularly in his signature suit, the Montero. He possesses sharp situational awareness and tactical insight, qualities that his command position requires and that allow him to lead effectively in the heat of battle. His reflexes and combat learning speed mark him as a truly gifted pilot, living up to his self-proclaimed title.
