TV-Series
Description
Elena Perepelkina is a Russian woman who joins the Annex Project alongside her brother, Ivan. Her primary motivation is to find a cure for the deadly A.E. virus that afflicts Earth, a goal that drives her participation in the dangerous mission to Mars.

In terms of appearance, Elena is a tall woman with short, spiky blonde hair and green eyes. She possesses a calm and serious demeanor, speaking little and consistently displaying self-confidence. This personality stands in stark contrast to that of her brother, Ivan, who is noted to be her opposite. Before the launch of the Annex 1, she serves as a subordinate to Sylvester Asimov, who trusts her as his second-in-command, valuing her skills as a marksman. In recognition of her abilities, Asimov entrusts her with a special anti-Terraformar bug capturing net launcher, believing her to be the best person to operate it.

Elena undergoes the M.O. operation to receive a DNA transplantation that strengthens her body for the mission. Her surgery is based on the Atropa belladonna plant, also known as deadly nightshade. This base would likely grant her the ability to produce tropane alkaloids, though the full extent of her powers remains unknown.

Her role in the story is brief and tragic. During the Annex 1 Arc, after the execution of Plan Delta, her group is immediately attacked by a particularly strong and stealthy Terraformar. One of her fellow crew members is killed right in front of her. Elena rushes to retrieve the net launcher to capture the creature, but as she locks onto her target, she is decapitated by the Terraformar, which unexpectedly uses a super-speed power. She dies before she is able to demonstrate the full potential of her M.O. operation abilities. Her limited development thus concludes with her sudden death early in the story. Her key relationships are defined by her loyalty to her commander, Sylvester Asimov, and her implied bond with her brother, Ivan Perepelkin, who shares the same belladonna surgery base.
