Description
Ran Kazehara is a supporting character in the anime Shōnen Hollywood - Holly Stage for 49, connected to the story as the original leader of the idol group whose name the current members carry. He is a young man with dark red hair and red eyes, born on August 3, and during his time as an active idol he was eighteen years old. His assigned Hollywood Color was red.

His background begins with a wish to become a dancer. He first came to the theater Hollywood Tokyo because he could take dance lessons there for free, and through that connection he became the very first member of Shōnen Hollywood. He eventually became its leader and the most senior member of the group's early history. As a person, he is somewhat easygoing and follows his own pace, but he is also caring, attentive to those around him, and capable of pulling the other members together as a leader. The self-introduction he is known for, built around the idea of stirring hearts like the wind, reflects his confident and good-natured presence.

He has a well-documented fondness for sweets. He loves Japanese confections such as yōkan, and his favorite food is strawberry crepes, a fact he repeats proudly in his introduction. However, the company president forbade him from making this publicly known, so his sweet tooth was kept somewhat under wraps during his career. His specialty is dancing, his charm points are his intense eyes and his nose, his favorite season is winter, and his favorite saying is that there is nothing one cannot do.

In the present day of the series, Ran has retired from idol work. He married a woman named Saori Kazehara, became a father, and, after working part-time in a cake shop, opened his own cake shop called Leader's Cake in the Jiyūgaoka area. His role in the story is that of a former leader and a living link to Shōnen Hollywood's past, and his development traces his journey from a dancer-minded youth who joined for free lessons into a dependable leader, and finally into a settled adult with a family and a small business of his own.
