TV-Series
Description
Laki Olietta is a Mage belonging to the Fairy Tail Guild. She is a slim young woman of average height with pale lavender hair, usually styled in a distinctive bowl cut with a fringe covering part of her forehead. She is almost always seen wearing a pair of simple glasses with oval lenses, which she likes and personally wears. Following the seven-year timeskip after the Tenrou Island incident, her appearance changes slightly: her hair becomes longer and wavier, tied into a ponytail with a large ribbon, and her outfit shifts to a red mantle over a dark dress.

As a member of Fairy Tail, Laki uses a form of Wood-Make magic that allows her to instantly reshape wood into any form of her choice. This ability made her particularly useful when the Fairy Tail guild hall was vandalized by the Phantom Lord Guild, as she took a leading role in its reconstruction. She also demonstrates a creative and somewhat eccentric side to her magic, once storing a large number of torture devices in her room at the Fairy Hills dormitory, all presumably crafted using her wood-manipulation powers.

Laki's personality is marked by her unusual way of expressing herself. She uses unconventional phrases in everyday conversation, referring to getting a haircut as chopping hair, eating as feeding your stomach, and sleeping as whittling away the defenseless hours. This quirky manner of speech sets her apart from many other guild members. She holds a strong dislike for perverts and is protective of her close friend Kinana, often being seen in her company and shielding her from unwanted flirtatious attention.

In terms of her role within the story, Laki is a supporting character who appears throughout the series, including the Fairy Tail 2014 season. She was among the few Fairy Tail mages who were not present on Tenrou Island when Acnologia attacked, meaning she avoided being trapped in suspended animation for seven years. Consequently, she remained active in the guild during that period, helping to maintain operations and assist with rebuilding efforts. She later participates in the celebration of Fairy Tail's victory during the Grand Magic Games arc, shown happily with Kinana among the rejoicing members.

Laki does not undergo major character arcs or dramatic development over the course of the series, but she remains a consistent background presence within the guild. Her close friendship with Kinana is one of her most notable relationships, and she is generally on good terms with her fellow guildmates. Her motivations are not deeply explored, but she appears dedicated to Fairy Tail and uses her skills to support the guild whenever needed, particularly in construction and repair tasks.
