Description
Bisca Moulin, more commonly known as Bisca Connell after her marriage, is a mage of the Fairy Tail guild. Her maiden name is Mulan, and she originally emigrated to the kingdom of Fiore from the west, arriving in poverty. To survive, she resorted to a life of petty crime, using her sharpshooting skills to intimidate locals. She operated under the alias Mulan Rouge and falsely claimed to be a member of Fairy Tail to amplify her intimidation factor and shield herself from retribution. This fraudulent activity led to a decisive confrontation with the Fairy Tail mage Erza Scarlet. After being defeated in a duel, Erza, rather than simply punishing her, extended an offer to join the guild legitimately. This encounter served as a turning point, leading Bisca to abandon her outlaw life and embrace the camaraderie and honor of Fairy Tail.

In terms of personality, Bisca is a determined and fiercely loyal individual who holds her guild and comrades in the highest regard. She is willing to fight for their sake, even when the odds are against her, demonstrating a headstrong and bold demeanor in the face of most challenges. This strong-willed exterior, however, completely disappears when she is around her fellow western immigrant and future husband, Alzack Connell. Towards him, she displays a notable shyness and a quiet tenderness, having secretly harbored a crush on him for a long time before their relationship developed. Her motivations are deeply rooted in protecting her newfound family. She transitions from a solitary individual acting out of desperation to a selfless protector who prioritizes the safety of her guildmates and, later, her own husband and daughter.

Within the story, Bisca serves as a supporting member of Fairy Tail, often seen fighting alongside her partner Alzack. She participated in many of the guild's major conflicts. During the guild war against Phantom Lord, she helped evacuate the injured master Makarov and fought against the enemy's magical Shades. In the Battle of Fairy Tail arc, she entered the Miss Fairy Tail contest and showcased her incredible marksmanship by shooting holes through airborne coins. She was later petrified by Evergreen as part of Laxus Dreyar's scheme to take over the guild. After being freed, she took immediate action against Laxus's Thunder Palace, destroying one of the floating magical lacrima spheres before being knocked unconscious by its counter-attack. Following the seven-year disappearance of the guild's main team on Tenrou Island, Bisca's life developed significantly. She finally confessed her feelings to Alzack, and they married in the year X785. They later had a daughter named Asuka, making Bisca one of the few mothers in the guild. This period marks her evolution from a guild mage to a parent, though she continues to balance her family duties with her commitment to Fairy Tail, joining the fight in later arcs such as the Grand Magic Games and the war against the Alvarez Empire.

Her key relationships define much of her character arc. Her bond with Erza Scarlet is foundational; she holds great admiration for the S-Class mage, viewing her as a cool and honorable person who gave her a second chance at life. Her relationship with Alzack Connell is central to her personal development. The two formed a team, and their mutual but unspoken affection was a long-running aspect of their partnership. A lacrima that resembled a snow globe, a reward from their first mission together, became a treasured keepsake symbolizing their journey. Her daughter, Asuka, becomes a new focal point of her protective instincts, adding a layer of vulnerability and strength to her character.

Bisca is a master of a type of magic known as Requip: The Gunner. This magical ability allows her to store various firearms in a pocket dimension and summon them instantly during battle, similar to how Erza requips her armors and weapons. Her arsenal includes a Magic Sniper Rifle for precision long-range shots, a Magic Pump-Action Shotgun for close-quarters combat, Magic Double Machine Guns for rapid barrages, and a powerful Big Bazooka for heavy artillery. Her notable techniques include Homing Shot and Stinger Shot, which involve locking onto targets and firing guided explosive rounds, and Bullet Storm, a rapid-fire machine gun assault. She is consistently recognized as an expert markswoman, with her accuracy being trusted for critical missions, such as operating a massive cannon to strike a powerful enemy from a great distance during the final war.
