Description
Drossas, also known as the Dark Alligator, is a character from the anime Majin Bone. He is a high-ranking Eques warrior who hails from the planet Nepo Anegelis. He possesses the Dark Alligator Bone, which grants him powers based on the water element and classifies him as a White Bone fighter. He is identifiable by his blonde hair.
In terms of personality, Drossas is portrayed as somewhat cocky, daring, and straightforward in his attacks, often taunting his enemies during battle. He has a tendency to break rules, as seen when he convinces his comrades Gregory and Victor to accompany him on an unsanctioned mission to Earth without direct orders from his superiors. Despite this rebellious streak, he maintains a sense of pride in being an Eques warrior. In combat, he is known for letting out a distinctive cry of "Wani!" when unleashing his punches.
Drossas is driven by a combination of duty and personal loyalty. He initially appears as part of a group enforcing the chain of command among the Eques. His primary motivation later shifts towards protecting his close comrade, Vyse. Having known Vyse for a considerable amount of time, Drossas goes out of his way to bring him supplies and even risks severe punishment by traveling to Earth without permission after overhearing a plot by Revolt and Socius that endangers his friend. He also shows a pragmatic concern for his own standing, undertaking a mission to retrieve the Dragon Bone partly to prevent his own Bone from being confiscated.
Drossas plays the role of an antagonist to the Earthling Bone Fighters, particularly during the mid-section of the story. He first appears alongside Klude and Vyse as part of a formidable trio that attacks the main characters. He leads a solo mission to Melbourne, Australia, where he successfully disables the security system, traps Leonardo Bone, and battles Shougo Ryuujin and the other Earthling fighters, demonstrating his superior combat experience. In this encounter, he reveals that the Earthlings' bones, like his own, are all of the White Bone class. After Lord Klude is placed under confinement, Drossas and Vyse are removed from their active recovery duties. Later, he is seen accompanying another commander, Gladis, on a subsequent invasion of Earth.
Drossas maintains key relationships with several characters. His most significant bond is with Vyse, a fellow Eques and the Dark Eagle, for whom he shows deep respect and a protective nature. He serves under Lord Klude, the Dark Wyvern, who is an Iron Bone-class warrior with power far exceeding Drossas's own. Drossas witnesses Klude effortlessly defeat multiple Earthling fighters, which serves as a stark reminder of the power hierarchy among the Bone Fighters. He also interacts frequently with Gregory and Victor, whom he persuades to join him on his unauthorized Earth mission.
Throughout the series, Drossas undergoes a degree of development, shifting from a rule-enforcing warrior to a more independent agent driven by personal loyalty. After hearing a speech by Revolt, he begins to question the current state of affairs regarding his former commander, Liebert. He demonstrates a willingness to defy orders to save a friend, and after being defeated by the Earthlings, he is ultimately teleported back to his home planet alongside Vyse. He later fights under the command of the Primordial Majin, though he feels a sense of suspicion about the situation.
As a Bone Fighter, Drossas possesses several notable abilities. He is self-proclaimed to be one of the top one or two strongest among the White Bone warriors on the Nepos side. His signature attack is called the Merciless Throwing. In battle, he often makes use of his water-element affinity by submerging his body, leaving only his upper half visible, which provides him a tactical advantage. His main offensive technique involves thrusting his arms forward to form a claw that resembles an alligator's jaw, which he uses to crush his opponents.
